CHOCOLATE DATE BREAD

Chocolate most commonly comes in dark, milk, and white varieties, with cocoa solids contributing to the brown coloration.
Ingredients:
¾ Cup Boiling Water
1 Cup Sliced Pitted Dates
1 6 oz. or ¾ Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Pieces
¾ Cup Butter or Margarine
1 Egg
¾ Cup Milk
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 ½ Cups Sifted Flour
½ Cup Sugar
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Soda

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a small bowl, pour boiling water over dates; set aside. Melt chocolate chips on stove with butter or margarine. In another bowl, with fork, beat egg with milk and vanilla just until mixed. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder and soda. Then, add the dates with the liquid to the flour mixture and stir. Finally, add the milk mixture to that. Stir all together. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake for about 1 hour and 10 minutes. To test this bread to make sure it's done use the toothpick method. Insert a toothpick into the middle. If that comes out clean it's done! ENJOY..the Meals in a Rush way.
