RADIO-TUNA FISH SANDWICH. Why is it called that?
A tuna fish sandwich (or a tuna salad sandwich) on toast is called a "radio" in diner slang. "Tuna" was taken for "tune it," and "tuna down" the radio! The slang seems to have existed in the 1950's, but faded away by the late 1960's.
