Sweet Broccoli Salad

With a lot on our plates, many of us are looking for a healthy and homemade meal or snack that doesn’t eat up a lot of time – recipes that are easy, delicious and yummy.  Tawnya has dished out Meals in a Rush in different markets during her tv career, nationally and internationally – making way for her first Emmy Award.

Let’s get cooking!

Broccoli Salad Ingredients:

5 Cups broccoli florets
1 Cup homemade bacon bits (7 cooked bacon strips, varies on how much you’d like to use)
1/4 Cup chopped orange pepper

Salad Dressing:

1/2 Cup Miracle Whip
2 Tablespoons Sugar
1 Tablespoon Vinegar

Directions:

Pour the first three ingredients into a mixing bowl. Whip together the salad dressing ingredients. (taste test to see if more sugar/vinegar is needed – make to your liking). Pour over the broccoli mixture – mix it up and serve.
Other ingredients to add – sesame seeds, chopped walnuts, raisins, roasted sunflower seeds.
